Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 "Erik" Gets New Test Build, Ships with GNOME 3.20.1

The Parsix GNU/Linux devs have just announced the release and immediate availability for download of the second test build of the upcoming Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik” operating system.

Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik” Test 1 comes one and a half months after the release of the Test 0 build, and it looks like the entire system has been synchronized with Debian GNU/Linux 8 “Jessie” software repositories as of April 27, 2016. The distro is now powered by Linux kernel 4.4.8 LTS and ships with the latest GNOME 3.20.1 desktop environment.

“Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 (code name Erik) ships with stable GNOME 3.20 desktop environment and a brand new kernel. This version has been synchronized with Debian Jessie repositories as of April 27 2016. Parsix Erik ships with LibreOffice 4.3.3 productivity suite by default,” reads today’s announcement.
