Red Hat Software Collections 2.2 and Developer Toolset 4.1 Betas Now Available

Today, May 5, 2016, Red Hat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, has announced in a press release the availability of Red Hat Software Collection 2.2 Beta and Red Hat Developer Toolset 4.1 Beta.

Red Hat Software Collections 2.2 will be the second maintenance release in the stable 2.x series of Red Hat’s collection of open-source web development tools, databases, and dynamic languages, bringing MariaDB 10.1, PostgreSQL 9.5, MongoDB 3.2, Node.js v4.2.2, Ruby 2.3, Python 3.5, Rails 4.2, Maven 3.3, Apache 2.4, and Thermostat 1.4.

“Delivered on a separate lifecycle from Red Hat Enterprise Linux with a more frequent release cadence, Red Hat Software Collections bridges developer agility and production stability by helping to accelerate the creation of modern applications that can then be more confidently deployed into production,” reads today’s announcement.
