KDE Neon Plasma Wayland Daily Build ISOs Based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Are Now Live

Ex-Kubuntu leader Jonathan Riddell announced the availability of daily build ISO images for the rolling KDE Neon Linux operating system, which early adopters can get and test drive as we speak.

Since he left the Kubuntu leadership, Jonathan Riddell’s new project, KDE Neon, looks like it gets a lot of attention lately from KDE and Kubuntu fans alike, especially those who want to migrate to a rolling release operating system. And you can now get your hands on KDE Neon daily build ISO images with the KDE Plasma desktop on Wayland.

“With Neon’s infrastructure moving ahead nicely I’ve been able to update my Plasma Wayland images to build on the Neon infrastructure fresh each day,” said Jonathan Riddell. “It uses packages built from KDE Frameworks and Plasma Git master branches and has a default session of KWin running as a Wayland compositor.”
