Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 "Nev" Gets First Point Release to Improve Skylake Support

Just days after its official release, the Debian-based Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev” operating system received its first point release, which brings new, up-to-date components and fixes critical issues.

Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15r1 is now the latest stable and most advanced version of the distribution, shipping with the recently released Linux 4.4.48 LTS kernel, patched with BFS and TuxOnIce, to address a regression for Intel Skylake chips. Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15r0, the initial release of the OS, was powered by Linux kernel 4.4.44 LTS.
