Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 "Erik" Receives Latest Security Updates from Debian Stable

It’s been three weeks since the last security updates landed for the Debian-based Parsix GNU/Linux operating system, and today, October 13, 2016, the development team announced the availability of multiple security updates from Debian Stable.

Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik” is currently the latest stable and most advanced version of the distro, which launched officially on the last day of July 2016, based on Debian GNU/Linux 8 “Jessie,” which means that its software repositories are always in sync with upstream to keep the OS secure and reliable until it reaches end of life.

And today you’ll have to update your Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik” installation, as it has received security updates for multiple core components and applications, including PHP5, NSS, NSPR, IceDove, libav, Chromium, WordPress, libdbd-mysql-perl, Jackrabbit, BIND9, and c-ares.
