Cinnamon 3.0.2 Desktop Environment Fixes Desktop Effects on Menus and Dialogs

Today, May 10, 2016, Clement Lefebvre and his team of developers have released the second maintenance build for the Cinnamon 3.0 desktop environment, further polishing several of its components.

Cinnamon 3.0.2 comes two weeks after the release of Cinnamon 3.0.1, which only fixed the alignment of the rating number in the “Get more” pages for extensions, to no longer be covered by the overlay scrollbars, and according to the internal changelog attached at the end of the article it brings multiple bug fixes.

Among the changes, we can mention that Cinnamon 3.0.2 prevents desktop effects from being used on menus and dialogs if the “desktop-effects” setting is disabled, introduces cache generated thumbnails, fixes a declaration of alias variable in the Power applet, as well as a call on null object for the Window list.

A close button has been added to the Speaker Test dialog
