10 Million Raspberry Pi Computers Have Been Sold, New Starter Kit Available

Today, September 8, 2016, Raspberry Pi Founder Eben Upton has been extremely proud to announce that a total of ten million Raspberry Pi single-board computers have been sold to date.

Let us say that again because it sounds so cool: over 10 million Raspberry Pi units have been sold until now. Congrats to the Raspberry Pi Foundation for changing our lives and giving us the world’s first smallest, low-cost SBC (Single-board computer) to build our most innovative projects.

You know, Raspberry Pi is behind some major experiments. It’s used in space, on the International Space Station, by NASA’s astronauts as part of the Astro Pi project, as well as in many of our home appliances, including the soon-to-be-released, Ubuntu Snappy-based Mycroft, promising A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) to everyone, and many others.
