Wine 2.11 Adds OpenGL Support in the Android Driver, Adobe Premiere Improvements

The Wine 2.11 development release is now available for download, coming two weeks after the Wine 2.10 update to add more goodies to the open-source compatibility layer for running Windows apps and games on Unix-like OSes.

Prominent features of the Wine 2.11 release include OpenGL support in the Android driver, support for security labels, implementation of relay debugging on ARM64 (AArch64) hardware, extra dictionary support in WebServices, as well as the addition of a new registry file parser in the RegEdit utility.

Wine 2.11 appears to be the smallest update released until now for the open source software, as it only contains a total of 16 changes fixing flickery textures in midrange background Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, startup issues with IMSSA EuroDEEM (VB6 app), as we… (read more)
