wattOS developer Ronald Ropp is pleased to announce on the first day of September 2016 the release and immediate availability for download of the LXDE Edition of his Ubuntu-based wattOS 10 computer operating system.
wattOS 10 LXDE Edition is the newest version of wattOS, and also the most advanced one, based on the recently released Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system and shipping with some of the latest GNU/Linux technologies and open-source software projects for continued stability and long term support.
Powered by Ubuntu’s Linux 4.4.0-36 kernel, wattOS 10 LXDE Edition comes with the Mozilla Firefox 48.0 web browser, PCManFM 1.2.4 file manager, Transmission 2.84 BitTorrent client, gThumb 3.4.3 image viewer, Lollypop 0.9.112 music player, Filezilla 3.15.0.2 file transfer client, Evince 3.18.2 document viewer, and Gufw 16.04.1 firewall.
