Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 and 8.10 Get Linux Kernel 4.4.47 LTS, New Security Updates

It’s been a month since we’ve told you about the newest security updates that landed in the stable software repositories of the Debian-based Parsix GNU/Linux operating system, and it’s time to keep you guys up to date with what’s going on.

First of all, the Parsix GNU/Linux developers were quite busy lately pushing the final release of Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev” out the door, which is based on the latest Debian GNU/Linux 8.7 “Jessie” operating system, the long-term supported Linux 4.4 kernel, and GNOME 3.22 desktop environment.

That doesn’t mean the other supported version, Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik,” did not receive any new security updates, which are always tracked and backported from the Debian Stable “updates” and “security” repositories. Of course, all these security updates also landed in the Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev.”
