Immediately after announcing the release of Linux kernel 4.1.27 LTS, kernel developer Sasha Levin informed the community about the immediate availability for download of Linux kernel 3.18.36 LTS.
Linux kernel 3.18 is an LTS (Long Term Support) release that will receive updates and patches for a few more months, until January 2017, and this is the thirty-sixth maintenance version, which arrives only two weeks from the release of the previous maintenance update, Linux kernel 3.18.35 LTS, to change a total of 44 files, with 327 insertions and 124 deletions.
