pfSense 2.3.2 Open Source BSD Firewall Distro Arrives with Over 70 Improvements

Electric Sheep Fencing LLC, through Chris Buechler, proudly announced on July 25, 2016, the immediate availabiliy for download of the second maintenance update for the pfSense 2.3 series of the FreeBSD-based open-source firewall distribution.

pfSense 2.3.2 is here today to fix a total of 60 bugs that have been reported by users since the previous maintenance releses, as well as to introduce a handful of new features, among which we can mention the implementation of per-user configuration options in the Dashboard, as well as support of * for hostname with Namecheap.

The strongSwan open source IPsec-based VPN (Virtual Private Network) solution for GNU/Linux and other UNIX-based operating systems has been updated to version 5.5.0, a major release that introduces many goodies, sorting is now supported in the DHCP static mappings table, and IPv6 support was added to the diag_dns.php file in the WebUI.
