Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 and 8.10 Get Linux Kernel 4.4.30 LTS, New Security Updates

Users of the Debian-based Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 “Nev” and Parsix GNU/Linux 8.10 “Erik” distributions are in for a treat this weekend, as a new kernel update and the latest Debian Stable security updates landed in the software repositories.

Those of you who are using Debian GNU/Linux 8 “Jessie” probably know that new security updates were pushed last week in the repos, including for the cURL library and command-line tool for transferring data, Memcached distributed memory object caching system, BIND9 DNS implementation, and GNU Tar utility for creating tar archives. These are now available for Parsix GNU/Linux 8.15 and 8.10 users as well.
