It’s been more than three months since the free, lightweight, open-source and simple Parabola GNU/Linux-libre operating system received an updated install medium, so the development team recently announced Parabola GNU/Linux-libre 2016.11.03.

Parabola GNU/Linux-libre is not a very well-known distribution and, on this occasion, we’d like to remind the reader that it’s a 100% free Linux-based operating system for desktops and servers, a community-driven project derived from the powerful, yet lightweight and highly configurable Arch Linux.

By using only free and libre software components, the Parabola GNU/Linux-libre operating system meets the FSDG (Free System Distribution Guidelines) specifications. No packages that don’t meet GNU FSDG’s guidelines are included in this distro, and 64-bit (x86_64), 32-bit (i686), and ARMv7h are among the supported architectures.
