Kubuntu and KDE developer Marcin Sągol today announced the availability of the latest KDE Plasma 5.6.4 desktop environment in the special repositories for Kubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) users.
Launched back in April as part of the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, the Kubuntu 16.04 LTS officially recognized flavor shipped with the KDE Plasma 5.5 desktop environment and KDE Applications 15.12 software suite.
But the latest version of the KDE Plasma 5 desktop is now 5.6.4, and users have been waiting for it for too long now. Therefore, today we’re happy to inform our Kubuntu 16.04 LTS users that the wait is finally over.
