Epiphany Browser to Add New "Copy Image" Context Menu Item, Support IDN URLs

Even if it might not become your everyday web browser, Epiphany is getting much-deserved attention from the GNOME Project, which plans on implementing many new features for the next major release, Epiphany 3.24.

A new development version of the upcoming GNOME 3.24 desktop environment, due for release on March 22, 2017, is being planned for tomorrow, January 18, and there’s a new Epiphany web browser snapshot released for the 3.23.4 unstable series.

The Epiphany 3.23.4 snapshot implements a feature that many other web browsers have had for so long, such as a “Copy Image” context menu item that, obviously, would allow users to copy a certain image from a web page to clipboard.

It also adds support for displaying internationalized domain name (IDN) URLs, a new tab menu to better handle a large number of tabs, as well as a new keyboard shortcut (Alt+D) to help you bring focus to the address bar.
