A new ISO image of the Neptune Linux operating system has been released this past weekend, bringing yet another up-to-date installation medium to newcomers to the Neptune 4.5 series of the rolling GNU/Linux distribution.
Neptune 4.5.2 ISO image is now available for download, and it looks like it introduces a bunch of new enhancements, such as the implementation of the PulseAudio sound server system by default to offer support for more sound cards, and an updated graphics stack with new Intel, AMD Radeon, and Nvidia (Nouveau) video drivers.
“Besides the usual updates (Effective: 01.09.2016) there are some new features. One would be Pulseaudio that we decided to include by default to make sure to support as many soundcard configurations out of the box as possible. For the best-known configuration we also ship a new default-settings-PulseAudio package,” says the devs.
