First pfSense 2.3.2 Update Adds OpenSSL Security Fixes to the BSD-Based Firewall

Today, October 6, 2016, Jim Thompson from the pfSense project has had the great pleasure of announcing the release and immediate availability of the pfSense 2.3.2-p1 maintenance update to the open source BSD-based firewall distro.

pfSense 2.3.2 Update 1 (2.3.2-p1) is here approximately two and a half months after the release of the initial build, namely pfSense 2.3.2, which brought over 70 improvements in various areas of the FreeBSD-based firewall distribution. It’s mostly a bug fix release, but some new features have been implemented as well.

“This is a maintenance release in the 2.3.x series, bringing a number of bug fixes,” says Jim Thompson in the today’s release announcement. “This release includes fixes for 34 bugs and 2 feature items completed. […] As always, you can upgrade from any prior version directly to 2.3.2_1. The Upgrade Guide covers everything you’ll need to know for upgrading in general.”
