Hello everybody, how are you all doing today? I hope everyone is fired up for the weekend!  I know I am lol, with all these random cops killing innocent people, I think it’s time I spend some time inside this weekend, better safe than sorry right? Anyway, read on…

The first stable release of Opera for Linux in more than 18 months is now available for download.

Opera 26 or Opera for Computers for Linux 26 (believe it or not, that’s the official name, smh) features pretty much a new browser with new features, and better performance thanks to its Aura and Blink engine and processing power .

Opera for Ubuntu is still a pretty good backup browser to have, I honestly don’t think Opera can compete with Google Chrome or Firefox but for testing purposes, it is still a good browser to have on call incase the other two main browsers fail on you somehow? Unlikely I know but it happens!

Opera 26 For Ubuntu Features

The browser wiggled its toes in tux-friendly waters back in June with the launch of a developer preview, but if you last tried Opera when it looked like this, you’ll want to grab some smelling salts: things have changed.

Alongside an impressive new look and blazing fast, standards-compliant rendering engine come many new and improved features.
