Shotwell 0.25.2 Image Viewer and Organizer Gets over 20 Fixes, Some Improvements

Today, December 12, 2016, Jens Georg, the developer of the Shotwell open-source image viewer, editor, and organizer software, published the second development version towards the major Shotwell 0.26 release.

That’s right, we’re talking about Shotwell 0.25.2, which appears to be a bugfix release fixing approximately 20 recorded issues that have been reported by public testers from the previous updates in the 0.25 unstable series. According to the release notes, there are also a handful of improvements, such as support for using the Application menu.

Among the things that have been fixed in Shotwell 0.25.2, we can mention the missing “About” action, the sort order, a critical error on startup, the initial sort order, hiding of the search toolbar, missing initialization of various states, setting of the initial action state, the scripts for Debian GNU/Linux, and a context men… (read more)
